July 4th Horne Family Reunion

Hey all,

Okay I know it has been FOREVER since my last post and I apologize for neglecting my poor blog and those of you (if any) that still check it out every once in a while. That being said, I have some really adorable pictures to share.

This year we decided as a family that we should do a Horne family reunion because we won't all be together for Christmas like we normally would be this year, and also because seeing your family only once a year is just sad.

We were really looking forward to seeing everybody, but we especially couldn't wait for Gianni to play with his cousins (which are all girls by the way). This is the first time that he has really played with them all. I think that the last time we were all together was Thanksgiving of last year and he was just barely cruising around on furniture (crazy how fast they grow). This get together involved a little bit more running, chasing, hugging, kissing, occasionally pushing, and much more fun.

Before I forget, I want to make sure that I thank my brother Ryan and his wife Jennie for having us all at their beautiful home. They were amazing hosts and made our trip so much fun and so relaxing, the sure sign of great hospitality. Thanks a ton you guys!!!

On to some adorable pictures and videos. I apologize for posting so may, believe me when I say I had a terrible time picking my favorites! I hope you enjoy them.
Pool Party!!!
She kept touching his head and saying "Hair"
This is probably the best candid shot ever, I just about died after I went back and looked at my pictures.
Cutie pie Emma
These are the sweetest shopping carts ever! They were adorable in it, I couldn't resist.
New outfit, He's looking for his phone
Munching at the baseball game
Checking out the swarm of bugs gathered around the stadium lights
Clapping with the music.
Oh, and don't ask me why but Gianni renewed his love for his Binky on this trip. The best part is that he never puts it is straight, it is always off to the side and he mostly just bites it. Silly kid.
Feeding Emma...something...
Kissses
I love this picture, it makes me smile. Emma is in the background "sipping" on some soda, Gianni is biting a Binky he found in my purse while sitting on my purse, and My dad, trying to get Gianni interested in that baseball. Priceless.
I need a girl so that I can do cute things to her hair! I am sadly out of touch in that area.
I LOVE this girl.
Watching the fireworks
Gianni, Grandma Horne, and Gabi
Isaac, Keitra and cute little Madi
Ignore the black eyes please, It was a long day. Focus on that adorable little girl I'm holding :)
grandpa and Gianni watching Ryan and Domenic light the fireworks
Candy dive! We were working on the whole concept of putting candy into the bag instead of sawdust.
again...
Dear Madi, you are a beautiful baby and I want to steal you, ask your parents k?
Haha, what is going on in this picture you ask? I have no idea, and I love it.
Happy birthday Ryan and Jennie! Jennie's b-day was the 3rd, and ry's was the 4th.
Licking off the icing from the candles, a girl after my own heart.
Gabi's cake
All I have to say is that it's a good think his shirt was the same color as the icing...
Just for kicks, a firework picture.

Skype

I love skype. Even though we are hundreds of miles way from my parents, we can still see them whenever there is a computer and internet. Today I skyped my padres and even though I cant take any snapshots of them from my mac (at least i havent figured it out yet...) they managed to take a bajillion of Gianni. Here are some of the pictures they took :)

He wasn't too excited about wearing my headband.

Toothy Grin
Checking out the i-pod.....
...talking on it like it's a phone.

Even though it is a huge battle trying to keep Gianni from pounding on the computer or closing the screen while i'm trying to skype, it is worth it for him to see his grandparents in Boise. We love and miss you guys!

Santa

Here is a glimpse of Gianni's first real encounter with Santa! He didn't do much except crane his little head around and stare at all that white beard, he was really confused that he was sitting on some big guy with white hair's lap.

Merry Christmas!

Tis the Season...for Christmas Cards

I have been waiting and waiting all year to send out Christmas cards, and now I finally have a reason now that we have Gianni. For the past two years, I have wanted to send some out, but haven't  because I felt dumb sending just a picture of Domenic and I (plus I was too cheap).  This year we have our little guy, and I feel like it is more worth while for us to end some out this year. Plus, I found  great website that makes it so easy!

Are you ready?? Shutterfly.com AH-MaH-zING. Here are some super cute examples and some of my personal favorites:

I love the not so cliche color scheeme, I think it is pretty refreshing and classy.
CUTE. All I can say. Adorable maybe too.
I LOVE the cute little ornaments, so cheery!

I am going to have a really hard time choosing. They have so many options it may take you a while to pick your favorites, it took me a while just to choose three!

This website really has something for everyone and every budget. Right now, they are running a special and they have a pretty great selection of Christmas cards (click on "Christmas cards") for just $0.32 each! For the amount of hassle (nearly none) and the convenience, I would say this is a great deal!

I can see myself doing a lot of gift giving from this site. Not only am I so excited about Christmas cards, they also have things like calendars, personalized mugs, invitations, graduation announcements, and the list continues. You can get some seriously cute ideas rolling around just by browsing this site.

You know what is even more amazing? Shutterfly loves their bloggers! Just for blogging about them and telling you all how excited I am about finding them, they are giving me 50 free Christmas cards! Here is the link to their promotion http://bit.ly/sfly2010, hopefully there is still a little bit of time, the deadline is tomorrow 11:59pm PST to post). Keep your eyes open, they may have more blogging opportunities in the future!

Merry Christmas! Which do you think is the best? Go onto their webiste and tell me in a comment below!

more halloween

Here are some really funny videos of Domenic's pretty amazing dance moves. This is how Dom and his friend Justin (I think there may be one of Domenic's sister Christine at the end too) answered the door for tricker treaters...

Gianni's First Halloween

Saturday the 30th our ward put on a trunk or treat which was super nice because as we all know, Halloween was on Sunday this year :( so no trick or treating around the neighborhood for use (although we probably wouldn't have gone to any houses other than people we know just b/c Gianni is still pretty young, and I feel kind of bad trick or treating for candy he can't eat).

I was really curious how he would do with all of the crazy costumes, but he loved it!! Actually, at one point our relief society president was holding him while he was sleeping so that we could eat, and she was dressed up as the shrek princess (name?), and I mean REALLY dressed up, like green face and the funky ears and everything. Gianni woke up in her arms and didn't even wince. This kid has zero stranger anxiety, even for green-faced strangers!

Halloween we turned on some spooky music to add to the outside decor for trick or treaters and even though we didn't go out, we though we should still hand out candy, I mean they were going to ring the doorbell anyways and make the dogs go crazy.

We dressed Gianni up again so that we could take some pictures and show him off to the trick or treaters. Now, for the pictures...

Ignore me in the background, please. Focus on that cute little facee.
