Hand, foot, mouth virus

Somehow Gianni ended up with the horrible hand, foot, mouth virus. I had heard of it before but honestly didn't know what it entailed. Oh boy this thing is a nasty virus to say the least. It starts with a high fever 101-103 and then the poor kid reals out in a blistery rash all over his body, mainly on the feet, hands and inside the mouth as the name states.

Lucky for Gianni the rash in his mouth is mild in comparison to that of feet and body, the mouth rash is supposed to be terribly painful. But, anyone who knows Gianni knows he hates having anything abnormal on his skin, be it a spec of dirt, small scab, anything abnormal so he is really freaking out about these blisters. We try to keep socks on him so he doesn't spread the virus and so it's out of sight, out of mind. He tends to freak out less when he can't see them.

Be warned, the pictures below are kind of gross but I thought I would document so everyone could get an idea of what life is like for Gianni right now.

So at the moment I am praying like crazy that Siena doesn't catch this highly contagious virus and am doing everything in my power to wash hands, disinfect, and keep Gianni away from his sister, not an easy task.

On the plus side, that cute little girl down there is one month old today! I can't believe it. We love her so much and she is growing like a weed. We still can't figure out who exactly she looks like but we sure think she's a cutie :)

Our new life

I know, I know, where have all the newborn posts of Siena been? Well lets just say adjusting to life with two kids and having a husband that begrudgingly works 100 hrs + a week leaves me little time to blog. Also, at the moment I am trying with all my might to keep Gianni and Siena away from each other (which is super hard because all Gianni wants to do is smother Siena with kisses ALL...THE...TIME) because Gianni has somehow managed to get sick again, this time with the Hand, Foot, Mouth Virus which is highly contagious and would be super scary if Siena caught it so young. That being said, I can't believe our little Siena is going to be one month old tomorrow! Time flies when you are having fun, but it flies even faster when you are busy.
Gianni has this rather recent obsession with his tie, he has to wear it with everything, church clothes, jammies, t-shirts you name it.
He also loves cleaning, a habit I am praying he keeps for the rest of his life
Loungin' with his feet crossed. Oh I love this boy.
At the park with Grandma (which for some reason he kept calling "bampa hone" instead of Grandma, We will work on that one.)
Climbing the tree, well trying

This pretty much sums up Gianni and Siena's relationship. Although it can get tricky at times, I sure love how much he adores his sister.

Cheetah Baby!

Bath time! Siena loves bath time, and Gianni always wants to help.

Soapy head
Just chillin
In the words of Gianni "toot baby!" (translations: Cute baby!)
My beautiful mom and Siena, matchy matchy :)
I was lucky enough to have my dad drop by while he was up here for business
It was kind of crazy, my dad flew back to Boise, got off his plane and then my mom boarded that same plane to get here.
My other mom Sharon, can you believe she has known me since I was a little babe like Siena?
My big bro holding my little babies
So there you go, these pictures are from when my mom was here for 2 weeks. We really appreciated all her help with Gianni, he had so much fun with her, and we miss her like crazy.
