Disaster

Ever wonder what happens when you leave a hot pink crayola in your pocket on wash day? Well I will tell you....DISASTER, and a very unhappy Britnae. I had the unfortunate opportunity of finding an extra full load of whites in the dryer covered with hot pink spots on every single item of clothing. It looked something like this...

Things like Domenic's shorts, swim shorts, my swim suit cover-up, clothes I had borrowed from my sister in law (yikes!), and much much more were destroyed, so I thought. I hopped on the internet hoping to find some kind of cure for my chicken pox whites.

I found suggestions like "I used WD-40 on my clothes and it came out great", to things as complicated as "okay all you have to do is use 2 max caps of tide HE + 1 cup Oxiclean in blue bottle + 1 cup borax + 1 cap full Clorox 2 + 1 cup Shout spray + 1 cup white vinegar, distilled + approximately 1 gallon of very hot water".

Considering I had limited patience and was already on the verge of throwing the whole load out, I decided to go with one of the simpler suggestions, Oxi Clean. Okay, I knew this stuff was supposed to be amazing, but I mean it really is AMAZING!

I ended up pre spotting all of the load with the blue bottle of oxi clean pre- spot (in the blue bottle), then soaked the clothes in the laundry room sink in HOT HOT water mixed with the powder oxi clean for about 4 hours, and then washed the load again in hot water with more powder oxi clean.

I know, a TON of oxi clean but it really did the trick!

So, moral of the story...Don't leave crayons in your pocket! But if you do, use oxiclean (and get a cosco size because you will use a lot).

Oh my, so good that you got it out! Thank would be so annoying if it had stained everything!
